A quartz worktop is an engineered stone surface made from natural quartz crystals combined with resins and pigments. This creates a durable, non-porous, and low-maintenance material ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

Quartz is heat-resistant but not heat-proof. We always recommend using trivets or heat pads under hot pans, slow cookers, or baking trays to prevent thermal shock or surface damage.

Yes. Quartz is highly scratch-resistant thanks to its strong mineral content. However, using chopping boards is still advised to avoid unnecessary wear and to protect your knives.

Quartz is non-porous, meaning spills won’t soak in like they can with natural stone. Most stains can be wiped away easily with mild soap and water.

Simply use warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, and heavy-duty cleaners. For tougher marks, a non-abrasive cream cleaner can be used sparingly.

Absolutely. Quartz can be fabricated into matching splashbacks, upstands, and window sills for a seamless, cohesive look.

Yes. The non-porous nature of quartz prevents bacteria and mould from penetrating the surface, making it one of the most hygienic worktop materials available.

Generally, quartz is not recommended for outdoor kitchens or areas exposed to direct UV light, as prolonged exposure can cause discolouration.
